In Memoriam of Er. Syed Javed Nazir Mantaqi

Er. Syed Javed Nazir Mantaqi (August 24, 1972 - July 30, 2013)

Syed Javed Nazir Mantaqi ,a talented and dedicated individual,  left an indelible mark on the lives of his family members, relatives, friends and all those who knew him. Born to Syed Nazir Ahmed Mantaqi, at Khanquah Moulla, Srinagar, on 24.08.1972 , he showed great promise from a young age. After completing his early education at the prestigious Burn Hall School in Srinagar, he went on to earn a degree in Engineering from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar College in Bangalore.
Syed Javed began his career as a junior engineer at the Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Corporation, where he was posted at the Baghlihar Power Project in Ramban. His dedication and zeal made a significant impact in his field, earning him recognition as a brilliant and committed engineer.
Tragically, his life was cut short in a car accident on July 30, 2013, while commuting to work from Srinagar to Ramban. He left behind his grieving parents, wife, and two young daughters, Syeda Sehar Mantaqi (2 years 10 months) and Syeda Amber Mantaqi (1 year 4 months).
His wife, a noble and pious soul, was devastated by the loss, but she proved to be extremely loyal to her late husband. She committed her life to raising their daughters, keeping  Syed Javed's memory alive by staying at their matrimonial home with her husband's parents. As a government teacher, she ensured her daughters received the best schooling and upbringing, fulfilling Javed Mantaqi's desire to have them admitted to Presentation Convent School, Srinagar.
In his memory, she built a new home in the outskirts of Srinagar at Zakura, where she lives with her daughters, and, loving and caring in-laws. The marble plaque at the main gate, bearing the name "Bait-ul-Javed " safeguards the identity of her daughters and keeps Javed's legacy alive.

Syed Javeed Mantaqi was a remarkable individual, known for his bravery, fearlessness, and outspoken nature. He was a tall and handsome person, with a strong presence. His religious devotion was unwavering, and he lived a life committed to Allah's will. He frequently visited shrines and sought guidance from renowned saints, demonstrating his deep faith. He was steadfast in his prayers and fasting during the holy month of Ramazan, showcasing his dedication to his beliefs. His kind heartedness was evident in his generous charitable endeavors, reflecting his compassionate and benevolent spirit. His legacy as a brilliant and committed engineer continues to be remembered and cherished. His tragic passing on a fateful day in Ramzanul Mubarak, after leaving home for work, remains etched in the memories of his family members, relatives, friends, colleagues  and neighbours. The Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Corporation, led by Managing Director Mr. Basharat Ahmed Dhar IAS, paid tribute to Javed, describing him as a dedicated, honest, and brave engineer.

May Allah bless the Mantaqi family, and may Javed's  memory continue to inspire and motivate all those who knew him. May his both daughters rise and shine keeping the legacy of their late Engineer father alive.
