GYARVI SHARIF, 11TH DAY OF EVERY ISLAMIC LUNAR MONTH COMMERATING THE LIFE AND TEACHINGS OF HAZRAT SHEIKH SYED ABDUL QADIR GILANI RA

 


Today, on the 11th day of the Islamic lunar month, we honor the life and teachings of Hazrat Ghousul Azam Sheikh Syed Abdul Qadir Gilani (R.A.), the revered founder of the Qadriyah order. Gyarvi Sharif provides a sacred opportunity for devotees and followers of Ahli Bayt and Auliya e Kiram to offer heartfelt praises and supplications to Allah, our sole sustainer. Through "Zikr Azkaar" and "Khatmaat ul Moazamat", we seek Allah's blessings and guidance. We also pay tribute to our beloved Prophet (PBUH) with "Darood Azkaar" and "Kibrat Sharif". May Allah inspire us to follow in the footsteps of the noble saints, who reminded us that there is no God but Allah, and Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is His servant and messenger .In Kashmir, the central gathering takes place at the revered Dastgeer Sahib Shrine in Khanyar, Srinagar, where the observance of Gyarvi Sharif commenced with the arrival and permanent settlement of Hazrat Syed Mohammed Fazil Shah Gilani, lovingly known as "Hazrat Sakhi Shah" in 1095 Hijri / 1322 A.D. As a direct descendant of Ghouse Azam, Hazrat Sakhi Shah followed the spiritual guidance of Ghousul Azam to reach this sacred destination. His mausoleum is nestled within the heart of the Dastgeer Sahib Shrine, Khanyar.

 Well it was, April 30th, 2014  a blessed day , when my  wife  ( estranged ) gave birth to our second baby, luckily a beautiful daughter in Modern Hospital,Srinagar. The air was filled with a mix of nervousness and excitement. In Memoriam of Er. Syed Javed Nazir Mantaqi

Er. Syed Javed Nazir Mantaqi (August 24, 1972 - July 30, 2013) Syed Javed Nazir Mantaqi ,a talented and dedicated individual,  left an indelible mark on the lives of his family members, relatives, friends and all those who knew him. Born to Syed Nazir Ahmed Mantaqi, at Khanquah Moulla, Srinagar, on 24.08.1972 , he showed great promise from a young age. After completing his early education at the prestigious Burn Hall School in Srinagar, he went on to earn a degree in Engineering from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar College in Bangalore. Syed Javed began his career as a junior engineer at the Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Corporation, where he was posted at the Baghlihar Power Project in Ramban. His dedication and zeal made a significant impact in his field, earning him recognition as a brilliant and committed engineer. Jannat Makeen Nizam ud Din Chishti

   Let me share with you, the story of my mother's father, my maternal grandfather, Magfoor o Marhoom  Nizam ud  din Chishti, a man who was truly an inspirational. Born in the year 1916 near Sona Masjid, Chishti Kocha, Fateh Kadak, Srinagar..He  belonged to the first generation of educated people of Kashmir. He worked in Central Excise and Customs, and ,was superannuated as Sectional Officer, in 1974. Throughout his life he exuded modesty, humility and simplicity. During his service, he wholeheartedly dedicated himself to his job. His dedication, integrity and honesty, earned him various appreciation letters and testimonials from his department. Despite being the first person of his family who was having a Government Job, my maternal grandfather always followed in the foot steps of his  paternal grandfather Hazrat Sheikh Radhu Chishti RA.
