FROM IRAQ TO KASHMIR….. Hazrat Ghousul Azam RA & His Illustrious Descendant Hazrat Sakhi Mohammad Fazil Gilani RA By Syed Majid Gilani Hazrat Sheikh Syed Abdul Qadir Jilani, also known as Gilani, was born in the beautiful region of Gilan or Jilan, Iraq, in 471 Hijri (1077 A.D.). He came from a respected family with a strong lineage. His parents were descendants of Hazrat Ali Murtaza (R.A.), with his father’s roots tracing back to Hazrat Imam Hassan (A.S) and his mother’s to Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.). Tragedy stuck at a young age when Hazrat Ghousul Azam’s father passed away, leaving his mother to raise him alone. Despite this hardship, his mother was determined to provide him with the best education. By the age of eight, Hazrat had not only learned the Holy Quran but also memorized the Holy Quran, becoming Hafiz-e-Quran. When he turned eighteen, he sought his mother’s permission to travel to Baghdad, the renowned centre of education at that time. Despite the potential dangers of

MY UNSEEN TEARS, YOUR UNSPOKEN SMILES By SYED MAJID GILANI As I held you in my arms for the first time, my heart overflowed with joy, gratitude and rush of emotions. As I cradled you in my arms, pressing you close to my heart, I felt an overwhelming sense of serenity. Tears of joy streamed down my cheeks, reflecting the deep solace and completion you brought to my life. In that sacred moment, I kissed your forehead, whispered the gentle words of Azaan into your ears, and named you Murshad-(one guided to the right path). October 23rd, 2019 - the day you arrived, changing my life forever. I vividly remember that moment at Modern Hospital, Srinagar, when Dr. (Prof.) Tasneem Gowhar expertly guided your birth, bringing you into this world. Your tiny hands and innocent gaze captivated my soul. You became my heartbeat, my everything. I ensured your circumcision was performed with care by surgeon Dr. Nisar Ahmad on the second day, just as I had done for your elder brother Arshad. My days we

JOURNEY OF RESILIENCE

BY SYED MAJID GILANI As I reflect on my life’s journey, filled with both triumphs and tribulations, I am overwhelmed with emotion. Born in the picturesque city of Srinagar, I embody the adage, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” Each moment, from cherished childhood memories to significant challenges, has played a crucial role in shaping who I am today. My early years were spent in the city heart Khanquah Moulla before moving to our family home, “Darul Iftikhar,” in Lalbazar, built by my grandparents. This house symbolizes their love and dedication, grounding us in our heritage and values. Although I was a shy and average student, my family’s unwavering support and guidance became my strength. The first blow to my life came when my father passed away from a sudden cardiac arrest at just 50 years old, while I was only 24. Fortunately, I had already begun my career as a government employee, which provided some stability during this tumultuous time. After my father's deat

GENETIC TIES THE UNBREAKABLE BOND BETWEEN A FATHER AND HIS CHILDREN By SYED MAJID GILANI In life's intricate tapestry, a profound bond exists, transcending time, distance, and circumstance. This sacred connection between a father and his children is forged in the depths of their shared genes. Like a river's relentless flow, this bond remains unyielding, overcoming obstacles. Temporary disruptions may occur, but its essence remains unbroken. A river's unpredictable journey has a certain destination, and artificial barriers divert its course, only for it to return to its original path. The emotional bond between a father and his children is unbreakable, resisting permanent separation. History testifies to its power, as the love between them breaks free from constraints, overcoming obstacles. No matter life's challenges, a child's innate love for their father endures. A Tribute to My Beloved Mamuz: Marhoom Mohammad Ilyas Chishti and Marhoom Mohammad Ibrahim Chishti, A Bond beyond Lifetime  By:  SYED MAJID GILANI Today, November 1st, marks a poignant anniversary, a day to cherish memories of my revered maternal uncle, Mohammad Ibrahim Chishti, who left this world on this day in 2021. My "Matamaal," once resonated with the warmth of my maternal grandparents, Marhoom Nizam ud din Chishti and Marhoomah Qazi Habbla Begum. Their love and guidance nurtured the matamaal, creating a sanctuary of joy and togetherness. After their passing, my mamuz inherited not only the family legacy, but also the responsibility of upholding the warmth and love that defined my Matamaal.  The signboard at the main gate, once bearing our grandfathers name ‘N D Chishti’, now proudly displayed ‘M I Chishti’, symbolizing the unity of my mamus, Mohammad Ilyas Chishti and Mohammad Ibrahim Chishti. Their bond was unparalleled, a testame

A TALE OF LOVE, BETRAYAL AND RESILIENCE

A Tale of Love, Betrayal, and Resilience  By Syed Majid Gilani/syedmajid6676@gmail.com In a world where truth is often trampled, John's life was turned upside down by a relentless campaign of harassment and manipulation orchestrated by his partner, Mary. Her ultimate goal was to secure a divorce and a hefty alimony, but with a twisted plan: to manipulate John into initiating the divorce. For years, Mary surreptitiously compiled a dossier on John, meticulously copying his phone contacts and closely monitoring his interactions with friends, colleagues, neighbours and acquaintances. Her clandestine efforts were a precursor to a campaign of manipulation and harassment, designed to exploit John. Despite being subjected to torture, incitement, denial, and constant provocation, John remained calm and composed. Mary's strategy was to push him to the brink, hoping he would lash out and give her the divorce she wanted. But John refused to take the bait. When Mary created a sc

A MOTHER’S FATAL MISTAKE /THE TWISTED TALE OF MOTHER’S LOVE

My childhood was a haven of wisdom, filled with the guidance of elder family members, neighbors, and relatives. They shared stories, tales, and life experiences that instilled good morals and ethics, cautioning us against the consequences of reckless actions. This social accountability fostered a closely-knit society where crime rates were minimal. In this nurturing environment, my grandmother, Late Syeda Sakina Gilani, would often share stories from her childhood. One such tale has stayed with me to this day. Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a woman, her husband, and their only son. The husband traveled extensively for work, leaving his wife to care for their child. Despite his occasional returns, bringing necessities and provisions, the wife's toxic behavior made their home an uncomfortable place for him. The son began attending a local school, and his mother showered him with love and affection. However, when he brought home an extra pencil, admitting to taki
